Machu Picchu by car 2D/1N

DAY 1: CUSCO-SANTA MARIA- SANTA TERESA-AGUAS CALIENTES

Very early in the morning after your breakfast, you will be picked up by our transfer heading towards the Sacred Valley, where we will appreciate the scenery of the Queswa ecological level until you get to Ollantaytambo where we start ascending to Malaga pass (4318 masl) going through different altitudes, at this point we will stop to appreciate the wonderful scenery of the high jungle of Quillabamba, and from  this point we will start descending until we get to the village of Santa Maria, where we will take an alternate route to pass through the deep valley that has some fruit and coca growing, until we get to Santa Teresa town, then lunch, and after a short break we will head to the medicinal thermal baths considered one of the best in Peru. Having enjoyed a relaxing bath, with joy and patience we will take the bus to the hydroelectric station, from where we will hike through a beautiful landscape of mountains covered with dense vegetation, until we get to Aguas Calientes town, where we will have our dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES- MACHUPICCHU

Very early, transfer to the station to take a tourist bus to the sacred city of Machu Picchu. This short trip by bus only takes 20 minutes going on an unpaved, steep and winding track through a mountain in the jungle with stunning views. Finally we will get to Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where our local guide will give us a tour to the most important sectors of this beautiful citadel, visiting the most important parts. Later, you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Around 13:00 hrs, we will be taking the bus to go back to Aguas Calientes. Lunch in Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon you will return by train to Cusco, the journey to Cusco lasts 4 hours. Arrival in Cusco is estimated approximately at 21:30 hrs. Upon your arrival you will be taken to your hotel. End of the tour
