DAY 1. CITY TOUR
This fabulous half day tour takes you around all the most important sites of Cusco. Including visits to Cusco’s Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and the various Inca sites found outside of the city you get to see an incredible mixture of Inca and Spanish-style and in the case of Qoricancha, the two combined. Cusco is truly a fascinating place to visit; providing a blend of the two cultures (Inca and Spanish) the city has a look and feel about it that is completely different to the rest of Peru. This tour is a must do when visiting Cusco and is usually one of the first ports of call for all visiting tourists.

DAY 2. MACHUPICCHU
Leaving from Cusco very early in the morning we will travel by bus (2 hours) to the village of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley where we will board our train to Aguas Calientes. With beautiful scenery throughout the journey the train journey itself is an experience. Following the course of the river down the Sacred Valley you will arrive to Aguas Calientes and head straight up to Machu Picchu for your guided tour. The tour lasts for about 2 hours during which you’ll learn about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel.
After your tour you will have free time to explore the site by yourself. There are various areas that are not included in the tour such as the Inca bridge, you can ask your guide for suggestions. Later in the afternoon you take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes where you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo (aprox. 2 hours) and then carry on by bus to Cusco.
DAY 3. RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – RED VALLEY
The Rainbow Mountain of Peru, also known as Vinicunca, is stunning and can be seen on the spectacular Ausangate area. This trip that allows you to see the Rainbow Mountains requires a trek of at least 3 hours (3 hours each way up and down the mountain).
On this trek you will see quaint villages, beautiful adobe style houses, herds of llamas and alpacas and you will have magnificent views of the Ausangate Mountain (6,385 m / 20,945 ft.), the highest mountain in Cusco region.
Itinerary:
We will pick you up between 03:30 hrs. – 04:00 hrs. Then we are going to set out on a drive through the South Valley. The drive takes around 3 hours to get Japura community where we are going to stop for breakfast. After that we are going to drive you 15 minutes more to Kayrawiri community (4,326 m / 14,189 ft.), where we are going to start with the trekking of 3 hours approx. long to the rainbow mountain (most of the way is going up). In the way up we are going to be able to enjoy amazing landscapes of herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, many red mountains and traditional local houses. When we finally reach our trek the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.), you will have time to explore the area and take pictures. We will spend approximately 30 minutes.
After the amazing view of the landscapes on the top we are going to down to the Red Valley Where you can see large and spectacular red mountains and also many llamas and alpacas and you will be amazed by nature, that take 2:30 hours approx. (Japura community) where we are going to have lunch. Then we are going to be drive to Cusco.

Useful Information
IMPORTANT
- We recommend that you take a lunch or a good snack with you to Machu Picchu
- If you are in the rainy season, ask your guide.
- Machu Picchu is an area of heat and heat in the afternoons (when it is not raining)
- Take enough drinking water and / or a dehydrator and inside Machu Picchu the prices are very expensive
- It is allowed to take a bottle of water and snacks in the ruins of Machu Picchu
- The day rucksack should be small, large backpacks are not allowed in Machu Picchu
